Frontier Giant Planets

Gas giants were once thought to only reside in the middle to outer reaches of a star system, but they are often found in close orbits to their parent star as well. Gas giants come in various sizes and do a very good job of protecting inner planets by sweeping up rogue asteroids and comets with their immense gravity.
