Planet Guide and Information - Saturn |
![]() | Name |
Saturn is an awesome sight in medium-sized telescopes on account of its amazing ring system. The main body of the planet is similar to Jupiter although much less colourful. The rings are made of thousands of small particles of various sizes - from grains of dust to large rocks and boulders. Small moonlets travelling around the planet with the rings keep everything in order by gravitational effects and also cause the separations between the rings, including the well-known Cassini Division. |
